CHILEAN ROSE TARANTULA

The natural habitat of this tarantula are the desertic and scrub regions of northern Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina. It is probably the most common species of tarantula available in pet stores today. It is usually active in the evening or at night, when it hunts invertebrates and small vertebrates. Females can live over 20 years.

Il suo habitat in natura è costituito da deserti e praterie del nord del Cile, della Bolivia e dell’Argentina. E’ probabilmente la specie di tarantola più comunemente reperibile come animale d’allevamento. Ha abitudini notturne: al crepuscolo esce dal suo rifugio per andare a caccia di artropodi e piccoli vertebrati. Le femmine possono superare i 20 anni di età.
