Migale di medie dimensioni che vive nelle foreste tropicali del Costa Rica e del Guatemala. Il suo addome è ramato con delle strisce nere: da qui uno dei suoi nomi: “migale tigrata”. Si nutre di artropodi e piccoli vertebrati che caccia al suolo, la notte, nel suo periodo di attività.

Medium sized tarantula (6-7 cm legspan) that is naturally found in the tropical rain forests of Costa Rica and Guatemala. It is an attractive species, because of the colors of its abdomen, copper with black stripes, that have inspired its name. Nocturnal and terrestrial behavior. It hunts other arthropods and small vertebrates.
